In this past year, many HXNY member families have been affected by the financial turmoil in one way or another, the School administration has made a decision not to raise tuitions in the coming year despite the costs of everything have gone up. We want to see all our current students come back next year.

However we always need volunteers in all areas to help us to run the school more effectively and efficiently. If you would like to participate please contact hxny-admin@external.cisco.com for more information.

We are pleased to announce that three HXNY students grabbed big win at NYC-NJ Robocup Junior competition held at NY Hall of Science on the past Sunday: Eric Liu (刘思科) and Alan Cha （查艾伦）won the first place in primary Robot soccer competition; Marianna Zhang （张韵嘉）won the best programming award in primary robot dance competition. Both China Press （侨报）and World Journal （世界日报）reported the event in May 4th’ newspaper as well as
at the web site . We would like to congratulate these students and their parents for their wonderful achievement.

To ensure a smooth transition into next school year, HXNY is looking for qualified language teachers and talented cultural teachers to strengthen our teachers' team. If you would like to open new cultural classes, please make sure you have 32-weeks teaching plan for review and approval.

We are pleased to announce that Mr. Shengjing Li is elected as principal and Mr. Ching Zhou is elected as Chairman of Parents Council of school year 2009-2010, on May 3, 2009.
